A vehicle safety system needs more than the right equipment to work properly. Camera position, cable routing, sensor placement, power connections, and system configuration all affect how reliably it performs once the vehicle is back on the road or machinery returns to work.
TrafficAngel professionally installs vehicle safety, recording, tracking, AI detection and security systems across HGVs, vans, plant machinery and specialist vehicles, from single dashcams and trackers to full multi-camera fleet installations, with each fit carefully planned around the vehicle and its use; installations are carried out by our in-house engineers mainly in London and the Southeastern counties, with trusted partners elsewhere, ensuring every system is securely fitted, neatly integrated and fully tested before handover.

Professional Installation, Built Around the Vehicle
There is no single installation layout that works for every HGV, van or piece of plant machinery. Vehicle bodywork, trailer configuration, existing equipment, electrical systems and the areas that need to be monitored all affect where components should be positioned.
Before fitting, our engineers consider the vehicle and the purpose of the system so that cameras provide the required field of view, sensors cover the correct detection areas and cables and equipment are securely protected. Once installed, the system is configured and tested to make sure each component is operating as intended.
How Installation Works
1. Discuss the requirement
We establish what equipment is needed, the vehicles involved and any specific operational or compliance requirements.
2. Plan the installation
Camera positions, sensors, monitors, recording equipment, trackers and other components are planned around the vehicle and intended use.
3. Install and test
The equipment is professionally fitted, connected and configured before the complete system is tested.
4. Handover and support
Once the installation is complete, our team remains available for technical support, system changes and future requirements.
Aftersales Support
Our involvement does not end once the installation is complete.
If a customer has a question about their system, needs help investigating a fault or wants to make changes as vehicles or operational requirements develop, the TrafficAngel team remains available to provide technical guidance and practical support.
Rather than routing customers through an automated support system, enquiries are handled by our team, who can work with our engineers to understand the installation and determine the appropriate next step.
Technical Support & Fault Finding
If a camera stops displaying correctly, equipment has been damaged, a connection develops a fault or a system is no longer behaving as expected, our team can help investigate the problem and advise on the appropriate solution.
System Upgrades & Changes
Fleet requirements rarely stay exactly the same. Existing systems can be reviewed when vehicles are changed, new equipment is required or an operator wants to expand their current camera, recording, tracking or safety setup.
This could mean adding cameras, upgrading recording equipment, introducing remote access or telematics, or integrating newer safety technology into an existing installation.
Fleet Safety System Audits
Small equipment faults can easily go unnoticed across a busy commercial fleet. Damaged cabling, poorly positioned cameras, recording problems or equipment that is no longer operating correctly can reduce the effectiveness of the system when it is needed.
TrafficAngel can carry out fleet audits to identify faults and areas requiring attention. This service is not restricted to TrafficAngel installations — we can also inspect systems originally supplied or installed by another provider.
Following the audit, operators can be provided with a vehicle-by-vehicle record of identified faults and recommendations, helping them decide what maintenance, repairs or upgrades should be prioritised.
