The Challenges Newrest faced
Newrest’s catering trucks are complex, with multiple moving parts and blind spots that make maneuvering around aircraft and airport ground crews a high-risk operation. The company needed a reliable camera system that allowed:

Cameras on the Extendable Box Body

- Driver-Facing Camera – Monitors driver behavior and compliance.
- Forward-Facing Camera – Mounted on the windscreen to record the driver’s view of the road and airside routes.
All footage is managed through LiveDrive, allowing fleet managers to access live feeds or review recorded events remotely. The in-cab 7” monitor displays a quad-screen view for real-time driving assistance, automatically switching to full HD when reversing or performing a precision maneuver.
Advanced AI Integration
For Newrest’s older vehicles operating at Heathrow, we integrated our Sistema de Segurança Progressivo (PSS). This advanced AI safety technology alerts drivers to the presence of ground crew around the vehicle, an invaluable feature when operating in busy airport environments like Gatwick and Heathrow.
