Intelligent Fuel Theft Prevention for Parked Vehicles
FuelProtect is an advanced vehicle security solution designed to prevent fuel theft while vehicles are parked overnight or left unattended. Designed to detect suspicious activity in real time, the system alerts the driver or management immediately, while continuous recording and powerful audio-visual deterrents help stop theft before it occurs.
Proactive Defence against Fuel Theft and Curtain Slashing
Fuel theft and curtain slashing are among the most common and costly forms of vehicle crime. FuelProtect addresses these threats with an AI-powered camera system that continuously monitors the area around the fuel tank, one of the most frequent targets for thieves.
Unlike passive CCTV systems, FuelProtect actively detects suspicious behaviour and alerts the driver, reducing the risk of fuel loss, vehicle damage, and downtime.
FuelProtect Features
AI-camera monitoring
AI camera constantly watches the fuel tank area while the vehicle is parked, identifying suspicious human movement.
The basic system consists of one AI camera, just above the fuel tank. However, this can be upgraded to upto 4 cameras.
In-cab Alert
If a potential thief is detected loitering, FuelProtect triggers a gentle audio-visual warning inside the cab, alerting the driver.
(The timer delay can be customised based on the individual customer. We recommend 20 seconds to ensure that the system is not alerted in cases of an innocent passerby.)
Driver-controlled active deterrent
If the driver perceives a threat, they can activate an external audio-visual deterrent with a simple switch, triggering:
A loud spoken warning informing the individual that their movements are being recorded
A bright flashing strobe light alerting anyone in the vicinity
Protection against the fuel tank when the driver is away
FuelProtect also provides protection when the vehicle is unattended. In the upgraded version of FuelProtect, which comes with the recording system I LiveDrive, the driver will be able to view the camera footage on the in-cab monitor and also on their phone via our mobile app, even if they are not near the vehicle.
When enabled, the system records footage to a DVR unit. With the optional data SIM and mobile app, users can:
- View live camera footage remotely
- Receive instant notifications when movement is detected
- Activate the external audio-visual warning remotely
- Review recorded footage for evidence following an incident
